The NELKO PL70E, also identified as PL70e-BT, is a reasonable shortlist option if you are happy to print phone labels through a dedicated app or connect a computer by USB. The key buying question is your printing route. “Bluetooth” does not mean that every computer, shipping app and phone print dialog connects in the same way.

Choose your device before choosing the printer
| What you will print from | Manufacturer-documented route | Buying implication |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone or Android phone | Shipping Printer Pro app, connected to the printer inside the app | Check the app and your label-file workflow before ordering |
| Windows computer | Driver-based USB; a separate Bluetooth setup is also documented | USB is the manufacturer's recommended desktop route |
| Mac | USB connection with the Mac driver | Do not buy it expecting Mac Bluetooth printing |
| Several devices | One connected device at a time | Plan how you will switch users and print jobs |
These distinctions come from NELKO's PL70E FAQ and its computer and phone setup guide. The FAQ recommends USB for a more stable desktop connection. The Mac instructions specifically use USB; the broad “Bluetooth / USB” line on a product card is not a complete compatibility answer.
If your requirement is an iPhone's built-in print dialog without a vendor app, compare a printer whose manufacturer explicitly documents that workflow. Our Rollo Wireless versus USB guide covers a different connection choice.
What you are buying
NELKO's product page specifies direct thermal printing, 203 dpi resolution, manual tear-off and compatible media widths of 40–104 mm. It needs thermal labels rather than ink or toner. Match the PL70E model and the chosen bundle: the brand lists printer-only and printer-with-holder options.
That specification describes the hardware, not your postage purchase. You still need a label file from your shipping service and a way to get it into the printing software. Decide where you will buy labels, which device will save the file, and who will check the first output. A printer that fits that routine can be more useful than one chosen only for its advertised speed.
Try the workflow before printing a batch
- Get the right file. Select a 4 × 6-inch label format in the shipping service when that is the media you intend to use. Inspect the downloaded file: a label embedded in a full letter-size sheet needs the appropriate export or supported crop workflow, not arbitrary shrinking.
- Follow the route for your device. Phone users should follow NELKO's app connection instructions. For a Mac, use the USB setup instructions. Obtain drivers from the manufacturer's support site.
- Start with a sample. The PL70E support page provides the manual, drivers and a 4 × 6-inch shipping-label sample. Use a sample to check setup before committing a queue of paid labels.
- Inspect the output. Confirm that the complete barcode, address and label edges are visible and correctly oriented. If a label is clipped, stretched or unexpectedly small, stop and check the source file and paper-size settings before repeating the batch.
- Record the working settings. Keep a note of the device, connection, app or driver and paper size that produced the correct sample. That makes a later device change easier to diagnose.
These are checks to make, not results from a test we performed. Passing a visual inspection does not guarantee carrier acceptance.
When the PL70E is a fit—and when to keep looking
Consider it if your normal workflow is one phone using Shipping Printer Pro, or a computer that can use the documented driver and USB connection. Check the current app requirements on your actual device before spending money.
Keep looking if your must-have feature is a shared network queue, native printing without the documented app, or wireless printing from a Mac. Do not assume a platform's logo means a direct integration: the important question is whether the platform produces a supported file and whether you can print that file by your chosen route.
