Direct Thermal
A direct thermal printer prints by heating coated label paper, so it needs no ink, toner or ribbon. Pirate Ship's advice for a 4x6 thermal printer is to look for 4x6 direct thermal label paper. Check your printer's own page for the label type it takes.
