Label Lock-In
Some printers are tied to their maker's labels and some are not. Rollo says any direct thermal label from 1.57 to 4.1 inches wide works. Pirate Ship says DYMO 4XL labels need not be DYMO-brand but must be DYMO-compatible. Brother's QL needs DK rolls, and Brother warns that non-genuine labels may damage the printer. DYMO's 5XL is described as authentic-labels-only in a search summary we have not re-read.
