Brother QL-1110NWB vs Rollo X1040
Wi-Fi label printers: the platforms’ pick vs the open-label pick
Brother QL-1110NWB
The printer both Pirate Ship and Shopify name. It needs Brother DK rolls, and Brother warns that non-genuine labels may damage the printer.
Rollo X1040
Takes any direct thermal label 1.57 to 4.1 inches wide, per Rollo, and prints from phones and tablets. Not on Shopify’s list; Pirate Ship says any printer that supports 4x6 paper works.
The call
Brother is the safe answer if you want a printer both Pirate Ship and Shopify name; the trade is DK rolls, so Brother sets the label format. Rollo gives you label choice and phone printing but is not on Shopify’s list. Pick the constraint you would rather live with.
